Every week I aim to try a bunch of recipes, because honestly…usually at least 1 or 2 fail on me (meaning they don’t live up to my high standards to where they’re ready to be posted on here). Last week was extra uncool, because not only did a couple of them fail on me, but the fudge failed on me 5 times!! At one point I thought the problem was my candy thermometer, which wasn’t properly calibrated, but even after fixing that, it just wasn’t coming out right. I’m all for the “if at first you don’t succeed, try again” thing, but 5 batches thrown in the garbage was the most I could handle for 1 weekend. I’ll be trying it again this week, but with a different recipe and hopefully this one will be the winner! In addition, I’ll be trying a bunch of new dinner entrees for me and the hubs and a new steel cut oatmeal concoction (this cold weather has me all about the oatmeal, because it’s such a great breakfast on the frigid mornings).
#4 is probably being made as tonight’s dinner because it sounds so wonderfully delicious and Ilya and I were both practically drooling when I read off the list of ingredients. Fingers crossed they all work this week!
